i’m joshua hong, though most people just call me josh. i was born and raised in los angeles, which means sunshine, long drives, and a lot of music growing up around me. life there felt calm, but somehow it also led me somewhere much bigger than i ever imagined. when i moved to south korea to train, everything changed. new language, new culture, new routines — honestly, it was overwhelming at first. but i kept telling myself that good things take time.training wasn’t easy. there were days when i felt tired, confused, and wondered if i was really doing the right thing. but the people around me, especially the members, made it feel less lonely. slowly, practice rooms started to feel like a second home.

then seventeen happened. debuting with thirteen people might sound chaotic, but somehow it works. everyone brings something different, and that’s what makes us strong. i sing, sometimes play guitar, and try to bring a bit of warmth to our music.these days, my life is full of stages, travelling, and meeting fans who support us everywhere we go. it’s busy, but i’m grateful. looking back, that boy from la probably had no idea life would turn out like this — and honestly, i wouldn’t trade it for anything.
